The Polar Express Wiki

Tunnel 1225 is a location in the film The Polar Express.

Role in the film[]

After the eaglet spits out the ticket that crumpled into a ball, it lands in the snow and becomes a large snowball as it rolls down a hill. The snowball hits the top of the wall, causing the ticket to flatten again and flew in front of a tunnel with the number 1225 on a keystone. The train rushes out as the ticket lands on its cowcatcher, the ticket gets blown underneath and flies back into the passenger car.

Trivia[]

  • The number 1225 on the keystone is a reference to Pere Marquette 1225, which is the basis for the locomotive in the film. The tickets themselves also have this number with zeroes filling the remaining three places.
